4. ISIL took supplies, munitions, armored vehicles, and tanks.
5. U.N. says ~180,000 people have been displaced fleeing Heet.
6. Heet lies on a strategic route, giving easier access to Baghdad.
7. The loss is causing more calls for U.S. “boots on the ground.”
