What if I told you that you can spy on your competitors’ Shopify stores and steal their best apps within minutes?

Sounds too good to be true, right? But it’s not. It’s actually one of the smartest ways to grow your own store and boost your sales.

You don’t have to waste hours browsing through app reviews or testing different features.

You can simply find out what’s working for other successful Shopify stores and copy their success.

Ready to become a Shopify spy? Let’s get started! ➡️

Step 1: Identify your target Shopify store

First, we need to locate competitors stores that we want to spy on.

You can use tools like BuiltWith to search for Shopify stores based on various criteria, such as category, location, revenue, traffic, etc.

This will help you narrow down your list of potential competitors.

Simply type your niche, in this case I searched “baby clothes”.

These are the results we get:

What you need to do next is on the right-hand side, click view list.

This will bring up a list of all websites matching the keywords you searched for.

From there you can narrow the list down by location, sales revenue, etc.

It’s worthwhile signing up for a free account as this will unlock some extra features.

Once you have found a store you want to spy on move onto the next step.

Step 2: Let the spying begin!

To get access to all the juicy details of your target store, you’ll need a secret weapon: a browser extension that will reveal everything you need to know.

The extension is called Koala Apps, its free to download from the Chrome store.

Once you have Koala Apps installed, navigate to the store of your choice.

Simply click on the Koala Apps icon at the top and watch the magic happen.

Koala Apps is not just a Shopify app detector.

It’s also a treasure trove of insights on products, sales, and traffic.

You can even track stores and get notified when they make changes. This way, you can always stay one step ahead of your competitors.
