If you were a child who grew up wondering, if there is a world beyond your wardrobe, then C.S. Lewis is not a stranger to you. He is the author of the world-renowned ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’ book series.

Lewis was a former atheist who fell in love with the sovereign God in his pursuit of the truth. He also penned unforgettable books that paved Christian literature such as The Screwtape Letter and Mere Christianity.

His words inspired many people to dream, love, and believe again. Now today this man is teaching us from beyond his grave.

In this post, we hand-picked a few C.S. Lewis quotes to make your day.

Here we go,

1. Courage Dear Heart — The Voyage of the Dawn Trader.

The urge to scribble this on a note and pin it on your Post-it bulletin board is irresistible.

2. “Friendship … is born at the moment when one man says to another “What! You too? I thought that no one but myself . . .”

All of us can relate to these lines from ‘The Four Loves’.

3. If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world.

Whether it is the one through the wardrobe or the one at the end of this life, I am pretty sure the man knows what he is talking about.

4. You can’t get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me.

Nerd Alert !!!!

5. If our charities do not at all pinch or hamper us, I should say they are too small… There ought to be things we should like to do and cannot do because our charities expenditure excludes them.

This paragraph is from Mere Christianity. It is a fresh perspective, especially for the modern age folks like us.

Once you understand of this you won’t look at Charity and your generosity the same way.

6. We may indeed, be sure that perfect chastity- like perfect charity — will not be attained by any merely human efforts. You must ask for God’s help. Even when you have done so, it may seem to you for a long time that no help, or less help than you need, is being given. Never mind, After each failure, ask forgiveness, pick yourself up, and try again.

This one is dedicated to every crack addict, prodigal daughter, and outcast. Even when you fall for 6 times God is still gonna call you His righteous one. Don’t you dare forget it!

7. Once a King and Queen of Narnia always the King and Queen of Narnia.

This one is from the all-time favorite, The Chronicles of Narnia -’ The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe’.

For most naive kids who never belonged at the cool kids’ table, Narnia is home.

8.“To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable.”

It is crazy, to open up yourself to love knowing you’ll get hurt, but like TS sang, if it doesn’t you ain’t doing it right.

9. I gave in and admitted that God was God.

Their love story is a classic Enemies to Lover trope.

10. “He died not for men, but for each man. If each man had been the only man made, He would have done no less.”

Every time you read about this man’s love for God, he’ll leave you gobsmacked. Every single time.

If God can use a man who proclaimed there isn’t one to change lives around the globe, he can use you too.

11. There’s a nail-scarred print on the back of the devil.

I bet every senior demon in hell, would’ve written to their juniors to keep away from everything that is C.S. Lewis.

12. My hope is that when I die, all of hell rejoices that I am out of the fight.”

I am sure hell, they did.
