Being Known

Paradox of Anonymity

Tanka poem on writing

Photo by Trinity Treft on Unsplash

We feel safe; wrapped in
Perceived anonymity
Connecting through words
Bearing our souls, our whole selves
Intimately together.

Thank you to Sarene B. Arias for inspiring this poem in me. Something you said on Zoom about the benefit of anonymity as you invited us, strangers, to explore and share with one another, stuck with me.

Authentically sharing stories and poems from the heart about our experience of being human and our ongoing process of becoming perfectly imperfect. Writing mostly real and raw with a sprinkle of microfiction!
