Circularity of Argument

Heidegger himself raises the question as to whether the argument with regard to the being of Dasein who is the source of the inquiry into Being with regard to its own being, is circular. Our answer, although Heidegger will go on to deny it is that it is clearly circular. That is the whole point. Dasein projects the world as a priori synthesis and is within that projected world. Heidegger thinks he will slip out of this noose by citing facticity of ontic dasein as his source of questioning concerning being. But whether he actually can escape this noose he rigs for himself is itself a question. If it is a hermeneutic spiral then we can perhaps see dasein as the limit of that spiral towards which it tends.
