Inner noise, chaos and my consistent yearning to being calm and relaxed lead me to discover stoicism. I do not mean as an abstract concept in a dusty old book, but as a living practice, as a new mindset to approach circumstances, and a point of view of perceiving the world. This really transformed how I navigate our modern existence.
It may not be so strange to you or anyone else that we tend to believe that freedom means controlling our external world. That was my belief, I chased promotions, certificates, money, relationships, and material possessions as if they are ingredients for a happy life. They are not. Yes, each achievement or acquisition brought temporary joy but followed by a severe longing to want more. Nonstop.
