This Is What Weakens Your Attention
A Pollution No One Talks About
When pollution is in the discussion, people often talk about litter, cars and factories pollution, or even smoke in the air. They do not mention the constant flow of data we have on a daily basis. That data follows us everywhere, actually it is with us. It appears on phones, news sites, and streaming platforms. We see it in messages from friends and coworkers, Facebook feeds, and online posts. Many refer to it as an invisible threat, to me it is not invisible anymore. Everyone can feel it in their bad attention, low focus, and weak concentration.
Some of you may know that I am a life and academic coach. One of my clients was discussing and asking me: what’s wrong with more informative content. He said: why not watch or read more of informative content. At the end it is positive content and will add to my knowledge. He mentioned that he checked headlines at dawn, browsed social feeds at lunch, and played videos late at night, but all of that will provide more to his knowledge as he claimed.
