10 Things I’m Looking Forward To Not Being A Clinical Dentist

This has come around quickly. I’m less than two months away from hanging up my gloves regarding clinical dentistry. All the paperwork for my new life is complete. I’m counting down the days to 11th January 2021, when I’ll step into my new shoes as a health management intern.

I’m looking forward to the work with great eagerness and anticipation, but there are also a few cherries on top of the proverbial cake that add to the excitement. They might not sound like much to some — they’re things that most working people are able to do on a daily basis — but they mean a great deal to me at this moment in time. Here they are.

Being Able to Wear Nice Shoes

I can’t tell you guys how much I’ve craved to wear open-toed shoes when it’s thirty degrees here in the summer when I’ve had to stick to enclosed-toe, heel-supported ugliness in the name of health and safety. Don’t get me wrong, I’d much rather protect my foot from a needlestick from a dropped instrument than have my pinkies out on display in summer, but, as they say, it’s the small things…
