CDC: Most Transmission of Covid Occurs From People With No Symptoms
Who is transmitting SARS CoV-2 to others? That question is still quite important, because vaccine rollout — while better — is still not where we would like it to be. The CDC has provided more answers to this question.
According to a decision analytical model, they estimate that transmission of SARS CoV-2 occurs in 59% of people who have no symptoms: 35% of people who do not yet have symptoms (called presymptomatic) and another 24% of people who never develop symptoms.
What does this all mean? That simple, easy public health measures are still essential: wearing masks, washing hands, keeping our distance, and avoiding large gatherings.
