Happy Hour’s Hidden Danger: How Your Drinks Could Increase Cancer Risk

We all know cigarettes can cause cancer.

As a radiation oncologist, I spend much of my life helping individuals battling this disease.

This week, a patient of mine expressed surprise that alcohol consumption is associated with an elevated risk of breast cancer.

It brought home a stark reality: the memo on booze hasn’t reached everyone.

Doctors confirm that many people are surprised to learn alcohol raises the risk of certain cancers, including liver, colorectal, and breast cancer.
