Our bodies have evolved to yell at us when we’re in danger. It annoyingly does this through pain.

AND this is saving our lives every day.

Imagine what would happen if you stuck your hand on a hot stove and felt nothing. You would leave your hand there until…your skin dripped like candle wax.

Pain perception is VERY, VERY important for our survival.

BUT. It becomes problematic when our brain interprets good actions as harmful.

Physical therapy after an injury, the emotional toll of shedding toxic relationships, the intellectual strain of months dedicated to learning — these things all feel painful.

But they’re all necessary for healthy growth.

This is why it’s crucial to identify where pain is coming from. Is it really stemming from something harmful, or is it from healthy change?

You may discover that today’s pain is the architect of a better life tomorrow.
