Stop Starting, Start Finishing: Your Guide to Lasting Change
How to Master the Art of Habit Change
It seems that everyone around me is making resolutions.
Folks who resolve to exercise fill my gym in January.
Months later, there’s no physical activity.
I don’t make resolutions.
I don’t define goals.
I create systems.
I Create Systems, Not Resolutions
Many of you have recently asked me how I am so productive.
I write blogs, study the Japanese language, regularly practice piano, read several books monthly, and work as a radiation oncologist.
And you have also asked me about my New Year’s resolutions.
You may be surprised that I don’t make resolutions.
Rather, I prefer to create systems that allow me to accomplish a huge amount.
This approach is not my idea; I learned much from James Clear’s book Atomic Habits.
