Aerospace medicine is becoming increasingly relevant as the feasibility of more accessible space travel becomes a reality in our lifetimes. While exciting, it also comes with specific hazards that physician-scientists, such as myself, must anticipate. Going to space sounds exciting, but you want to ensure you will have your health on your return, right?

When considering more people traveling beyond the atmosphere, we must have a comprehensive understanding of how space travel affects people, using medical testing that is up to date.
