Connecting to God

As a believer who has received Jesus Christ as his/her personal lord and Savior, We are mostly faced with the question, “how can i remain in Christ and access God for spiritual growth?”
This question will be answered in few simple steps as inspired by the holy spirit which we believe will position you in getting connected to God at all times.

Below are some of the tools we can engage in for continuous access to spiritual growth and active relationship with God

  1. Bible Study & Meditation ( During meditation, God speaks to us through a ‘still small’ voice and blessings are confirmed based on the words meditated upon) Joshua 1:8
  2. Confession (Every true confessor of God’s word is bound to experience the reality of the word believed and confessed) Mark 11:23 Rom 10:9,10
  3. Prayer (This is the way request is taken to God and we are sure of him answering us because Jesus himself intercedes on our behalf) Mark 11:24 Mark 9:29
  4. Worship (This brings closer the ear and presence of God) 1 Cor 16:28–29 Psalm 100:4
  5. Praise & Thanksgiving (Actions are initiated and operations begin while praising God) Philippians 4:6,7
  6. Faith (This is the wrapper of all tools. All other tools must relate at the center of this for result, its the fuel that drives our engagement to reality). 2 Cor 4:13 Rom 10:17 Rom 12:23 Heb 11:3

Important points to note

1. Obedience and belief are elements found within faith.
2. Studying the word of God comes before meditation.
3. Learning God inspired songs precedes praise and worship.
5. Fasting should be added to prayer for some certain request.
6. The second most powerful tool aside faith is meditation.

Note: When studying the word of God, we discover his plans for us in a generic, while meditation helps us relate deeply with the study in respect to our personal life.

However, in view of this, it is advisable that new converts engage in discipleship and get a mentor (someone considered to be a spiritual leader/teacher) for guidance.

In consecutive series, we will be unveiling and discussing each tool in full.

Remain blessed.
