While developing XRCLOUD, there is one feature developed by BELIVVR that I haven’t mentioned before: the Shared Screen component. It is similar to the media frame feature that fixes the location of media within the space, but combines screen sharing and webcam sharing. In essence, it acts like a main screen and it is recommended to place only one within the space. Since we are explaining this, let me also describe the media frame along with it.

1. Components for Sharing Various Media Content

1) Media Frame: Ideal for Exhibitions

In XRCLOUD spaces, you can share various media files such as images, videos, music, and PDFs by drag-and-drop.

3D GLB files are not supported. (BELIVVR will look into whether this can be modified.)

When you first share media, it appears in front of the avatar’s eyes. The media frame component helps you share media in a precise location.

Using this, you can drag and drop content into frames for display within the room. The host user can lock the position.

2) Shared Screen: Ideal for Education and Meetings

The host user can share their screen or webcam, allowing them to conduct classes or broadcast events. This method generally uses the media frame.

BELIVVR’s custom-developed Shared Screen component allows all users within the space to immediately share their screens or webcams on this screen. This component can be placed and used in classrooms, meeting rooms, auditoriums, or event rooms.

BELIVVR’s Spoke: Shared Screen Component

Currently, the shared screen only supports a 1:1 ratio and does not offer dynamic ratios, so please adjust the width to fit a PC screen. (We will modify and review for hub PR in the future.)

Conducting Code Reviews via Screen Sharing

We have explained how to easily share content within XRCLOUD spaces. We hope you make extensive use of this feature.

You can also find this explanation in the XRCLOUD development guide.
