Lent is coming to an end and the excitement is bubbling as Easter approaches. Lets face it, we have a four day weekend and we’ll be making the most of it by going out. Therefore, our Belle Artists have prepared a glamorous smokey eye which you can wear on any occasion in light of Easter spirit.

We will be showing you how to achieve this look, step by step and have given a description of the specific products used as well. Keep in mind you do not have to use the same products or colours. You can easily tweak it to your own liking but this is just a general idea on how to woo everyone with the perfect smokey eye.

So the first and most essential step is priming the eye lids. We have used Urban Decay’s anti-aging eye shadow primer potion. This step is crucial in order to keep your lids from creasing. All eyeshadows used are by Mac Cosmetics.

We start by applying ‘Cork’, a light golden brown shadow, in the crease using a Mac 224 blending brush. This is our transition shade. Using lighter shades as transition colours in the crease ensure beautiful blended results as compared to applying a dark colour immediately and struggling with harsh lines and patchiness.

We further move on to applying ‘Embark’, an almost plum-toned dark brown shade, in the outer corner of the crease. A Mac 217 is used to apply this shade. The previous 224 brush used to apply ‘Cork’ is then used to blend out ‘Embark’. The trick is to keep a light hand and go in windshield wiper motions, back and forth, from the inner to the outer corner of the eyes to ensure proper blending.

We then add ‘Humid’, a shimmery, metallic green shade, onto the lid space using a small synthetic flat brush. Using the Mac 224 brush, we will again blend out the crease area to make sure the green blends into the crease seamlessly.

We then apply the shade ‘Wood-Winked’, a warm antique gold shade, onto the inner corners of the eyes and the brow bone.

Using Bobbi Brown’s gel liner in the shade ‘Black Ink’ we darkened the lash-line and created a wing in the outer corners.

Mac Cosmetics’ kohl pencil in the shade ‘Costa A Riche’, which is a beautiful warm brown liner, is used in the water line to add depth. This kohl is amazing, it applies smoothly and is incredibly long lasting in the waterline.

The lower lash line was then smoked out using the shade ‘Embark’, that was earlier applied into the crease. We smoke out the lash line using the Bobbi Brown ‘Eye smudge’ brush.

The eyes are finished off by applying faux lashes by Huda Beauty in the style ‘Farah’. These lashes are comfortable, voluptuous and are wearable a numerous amount of times.

That completes our Easter Smokey Eye Look! We hope you love it.
