Gameday Tomorrow

Another short and sharp session tonight with an emphasis on freshness. Then back home for a pesto-pasta dinner.

Because just like that we have another game tomorrow.

A fun one too. We come up against my former club Karlslunds IF HFK — where I spent three good seasons. We play away, but it’s not far. Just down the street in fact, in familiar surroundings for me and my teammates Zak, Stef and Adam — who also moved across town last winter.

Tomorrow we’ll be tying our laces in the away changing rooms, warming up on the other side of the pitch, and working our balls off in the bright yellow of BK Forward.

It’ll be a bit weird for a minute or two before kickoff. But then it’s just another 90-minute game of football. I’m looking forward to it like any match.

The boys are fresh. We’ll go out there and do our best — and maybe try to channel some old memories of scoring into the same goals we’ll be shooting at tomorrow. Wish us luck!
