September 18th — Latest Updates on Beloola.com: UI improvements, WebRTC, 360° content
Yo VR enthusiasts, webGL makers and other cool people, we’ve just pushed a new update on beloola.com and we’ve got nice stuff to show you.
WE SIMPLIFIED THE USER INTERFACE
We wanted something refined because we’ve had some feedback suggesting the tooblar was obstructing the 3D environment:

Speaking of User Interface, you might want to read the very interesting piece of blogging our UI/UX Designer Vincent posted yesterday about his research on VRUI.
YOU CAN NOW DO WEBRTC ON BELOOLA
If you already know what WebRTC is, skip this paragraph:
WebRTC (Web Real-Time Communication) is an API definition drafted by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) that supports browser-to-browser applications for voice calling, video chat, and P2P file sharing without the need of either internal or external plugins.
So basically, you can now livestream your own thing from your webcam inside your 3D space without using any extra service. Want to stream your conference on Beloola? Do it. Want to stream the awesome DJ set of your 25th birthday? Do it. Want to give a Q&A inside Beloola? Do it. Your only a couple clicks away. Oh, and while you can’t play — yet — videos in VR on Beloola, this features does already work in VR. Enjoy.
YOU CAN NOW SHARE 360° CONTENT
We’ve released our first 360° media item — and there are surely many more to come. It consists in a simple bubble. Once the avatar enters this bubble, the user is immersed in the 360° photo or video. You can place the bubble anywhere in your 3D space, as you’ve done it already with your screens to display 2D photos, videos and websites. Oh, and of course the experience is much more relevant in VR ;)
