When I was younger, I used to think if I didn’t hear from a man that he would forget all about me.

I had this little voice in my head telling me all the time that I had to keep in close and regular contact with a man, otherwise he would totally forget me and move on to someone else.

I had this incessant need to keep in contact by text, talking, and meeting up frequently. If I didn’t get texts for a day, I assumed it was over and then he was no longer interested in me.

I didn’t understand that men fall in love in your absence. They have to miss you to really feel the love they have for a woman.

This is also the reason that sometimes women have to walk away when they can’t get a commitment from a man and he often later realizes what she brought to his life when he misses her.

Men need their space for their love to grow. They need time in the man cave to think about you and all of the wonderful attributes you have that make their life richer.

A few years back, I was dating a man I really hit it off with and we had a couple of great dates. He told me he had a fun time and he wanted to see me again. At least 2 weeks went by and….nothing. I was disappointed and figured he was dating…
