White Woman, Black Man: The Abuser No One Discusses
Christian Obumsfeli’s murder is a cold warning to other men of color.
Recently, I found out that an Instagram influencer turned OnlyFans model by the name of Courtney Clenney was arrested. At first, I assumed it was because she got caught selling sex or selling drugs like normal people.
Nope, she stabbed her boyfriend, Christian “Toby” Obumsfeli to death.
The more I looked into the case, the more disgusted I was. She came from a hyper-privileged family who let her do whatever, gave her anything she wanted, and literally had over a million fans on Instagram. She had a charmed life.
What did she do to repay the universe for its kindness? She abused the shit out of a man who was hopelessly in love with her, claimed he tried to attack her, and eventually killed him.
I often try to point out that abuse is never the fault of the abused. I also try to point out that men can be abuse victims too. This time around, I’m going to point out the specific issues that men of color have with white women.
