Why You Cheat and How to Stop
The truth about infidelity
“If you don’t heal from those that cut you, you’ll bleed on those that didn’t.”
I'm sure you have cheated a few times by now, or perhaps it's your first time.
You tell yourself never again, only to disappoint yourself as the shame and guilt wash over you.
It's exciting at first, the sneaking around, instant gratification, as you continue to make excuses that your partner isn't giving you what you deserve.
It's their fault.
That's what you tell yourself until, of course, you get caught.
When your deceitful secret is discovered, you ask for forgiveness or, better yet, leave them for your cheating partner.
It depends on the relationship and how much respect you still have for the one you love or thought you loved.
You fucked up and are regretful, or perhaps you're using infidelity to move from one relationship to the next, like interviewing for a new job before putting in your notice.
Whatever your reason is, you're a cheater, and this is why.
