Christianity’s giant problem

The Bible is full of them. They’re causing havoc.

The way Christians like to think of the Bible, it’s a book about a deity who monitors humans for good behavior. He gets real upset if He doesn’t get it. The Bible isn’t seen as a book full of . . . giants? They loom large, though. I’m getting around to papers in a 2016 scholarly book, Ancient Tales of Giants from Qumran and Turfan.

“To put it bluntly, giants can be embarrassing,” notes Brian R. Doak.
