Christianity based its ‘sex rules’ on a weird, mistranslated word
The story of “porneia”
When you sign up to be Christian, you’re told you’ll have to shape up your sex life. It’s what God cares about most of all.
Doesn’t it say so in the Bible? For proof, you’d be presented with passages from the letters of the apostle Paul, like 1 Corinthians 6:18:
“Flee from sexual immorality.” (NIV)
