An inspiring message for the inspiring people of NYC !
There is something that drives people to come to New York City, whether seeking a higher education, job opportunities or just change, the people who come to NYC come here to advance their lives.
NYC presents us with challenges; high rent, competitive job marketplace, congested subways and commutes but that doesn’t stop us from coming. NYC sets a high bar for those who want to challenge themselves and there are some who love the challenge and thrive off the opportunity to grow.
This is definitely a city of dreamers ripe for a project like the BE MIGHTY project.
For myself it has been a 17 year journey of; learning, personal growth and going for my goals — that’s what brought me here and that’s what keeps me grinding. It’s the grind, the challenge and the opportunity that brings us here.
Honoring and supporting that grind and desire for change is what the BE MIGHTY flyer project is all about.
This project is made for New York City; we’re all a bunch a dreamers living in contrast to the bright lights with big dreams but we’re not here to dream we’re here to learn to toughen our resolve against the grit of NYC.
NYC is for those who want to challenge themselves, for those who thrive off the opportunity to grow. Those are the people who are most responding to the BE MIGHTY flyers. They might grab a tab on the go but later they might share it with their friends at work or post the message on instagram or twitter and #passiton.
There are also those in NYC who want to connect with a human face in the horizonless city of stiff verticality and bruised shoulders.
BE MIGHTY flyers are not like the ads and noise that clutter our advertising atmosphere, they are hand posted tangible and frail pieces of paper, like little messages in a bottle that end up in your palm, pocket, purse or wallet.
Sometimes we just need a gentle reminder of assurance or a kick in the ass. Either way the messages are saved and cherished like a favored fortune cookie.
That’s why I’m doing this; I’m inspired by this city, by these people, by my life and my opportunity to do something to make a difference.
What I’m hoping for is to find and connect with people like me, who have some inexplicable inner compulsion not only to advance their own lives but have a desire to change things for the good of humanity and our collective experience as a whole.
These people are the fearless actors who start with small actions that lead to great change and while they are breaking free of their fears they teach others how to act upon their intuitions.
