What is that feeling that makes us wonder how things work, what they are, how is it possible, and how it can be done? The feeling, when you were a child, amazed by the moon following you everywhere. Your fascination which makes you learn all the things. That is curiosity.

You’ve read many articles about curiosity, what is it, and all that. Let me just share what I think it is. For me, curiosity is the hunger, that can only be satisfied by knowing the thing that arouses that hunger. The desperation that boggles the mind, that feeling to soak the information, the urge to know more.

We all are curious about one thing or another, maybe more than one thing. But there is one thing that makes us wonder more than the other things. We ought to learn more about the things that surprised us. That causes our knowledge to increase. Ever wondered why the human race is called the super animal.

So, what makes us different from the other animals? The answer to this question is also curiosity. It was curiosity that made man to reach the depths of the ocean to the infinite space. That was the thing, that made Sir Issac Newton wonder what causes the Apple to fall and then he discovered gravity. This urge made the human race better, knowledgeable, special, and greater than any other species.

Man is always curious, and that helps us to know and create something no one can imagine. I mean, people in the 1800s never imagined that they could fly in the sky with a machine that would have made travel easier and less time-consuming. But the Wright brothers made the airplane and shocked the whole world. This curiosity made us learn about ourselves too, what’s happening inside the human body, mind, and all that. This feeling has taken us to different planets, stars, and very far in the universe. Maybe that’s why NASA named their Mars Rover “Curiosity”.

Curiosity has a practical application too. If you make your career in the field in which you’re curious, you’ll simply be more efficient, successful, satisfied, and always amazed by work. Before being more curious, discover your curiosity type at Ootsuk.
