Engaged Talks: Pinay & Proud 2016

HiFi and Human Nature honor the unique and exceptional values of the Filipina

Faith in humanity restored. Millennials desperately need new role models to look up to and that is what local social enterprise brand Human Nature has been doing since 2012 with the Pinay & Proud Awards — to honor the unique and exceptional values of the Filipina.

Engaged Talks for Social Good in partnership with Human Nature hosted the Pinay and Proud 2016 Awards last October 19, 2016 at the SDA Theatre, Benilde. Engaged brings together students, innovators and entrepreneurs for a series of talks on social good.

From the Pinay & Proud website:

“Pinay & Proud tells the stories of amazing Filipino women to inspire young people to serve the least while pursuing excellence. Past Pinay & Proud honorees include Akiko Thomson-Guevara, Lisa Macuja Elizalde, and Maria V. Montelibano to name a few.
This year’s theme is “Your Goodness Shines” and we are partnering with De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde to showcase Pinay & Proud’s values to more bright young minds.
Ten women who have made significant contributions in the fields of environmental protection, poverty alleviation and education will be recognized at the Advocacy Summit. Pinay and Proud honorees for 2016 include Anya Lim of ANTHILL Fabric Gallery, Public School Teacher Sabrina Ongkiko, Hindy Weber Tantoco & Melanie Teng-Go of Holy Carabao, and Kara David of GMA Network.”
