HiFi sends representative to Afrilabs Annual Gathering
HiFi sent its lone representative Rex R. Lor to the 1st Afrilabs Annual Gathering on October 25–27 at the Alliance Française d’Accra, Ghana, West Africa. The ambitious event is the first of its kind as it brings together a diverse group of social innovators who are involved in the tech ecosystem in Pan-Africa and beyond. Attending the 3-day gathering were representatives from tech hub sand innovation labs, local startups, angel investors and venture capitalists, developers and freelancers, policy makers, the academia, civic groups and international fund granting agencies. Rex Lor participated in two major panel discussions: (1) On Academics & Innovation — How can academics and innovators deepen collaboration; and, (2) On strengthening hubs as institutions for open societies.
