SeniorHigh.PH LearnShop: Know Yourself. Know Your Industry.

SeniorHigh.PH in pursuit of its mission of building a community for senior high students, job providers and academe, hosted its first-ever event entitled “SeniorHigh.PH LearnShop: “Know Yourself. Know Your Industry.” last August 12, 2017 at the Instructional Media Center (IMC) of the Ateneo de Naga University (ADNU).

The event was attended by eighteen Grade 12 students from three participating schools: Pamukid National High School (PNHS), Partido Agro Industrial National High School (PAINHS) and ADNU.

The LearnShop aims to strengthen the self-awareness of the students as they take the next big step in choosing the industry after finishing the senior high program; the industry both with respect to choosing their college course and also in choosing the company for training, internship and/or employment opportunities.

The event was full of activities that challenged the participants to identify their behavior — when interacting with people, when doing tasks and when it comes to decision-making — which all describe their personality type and working dynamics.

Aside from strengthening their sense of self-awareness, we also introduced our partner companies and institutions that believe in the mission: Sutherland, Olivan Home Depot, Graceland, Biggs, Karaw Craftventures, Nueva Caceres Technology Solutions, Inc., and Alamana Farm Academy.

The participants expressed interest in the upcoming events and activities to be hosted by SHPH.

USWAG Junior Eagles, with the speaker- facilitator Juan Carlos de los Reyes and Ateneo Film Society also collaborated with the team.
