The Benilde Prize HomebrewED is the social innovation startup incubation program for the students of the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. The cycle for new batches begins with a Design Thinking bootcamp, dubbed Thinkathon, that aims to equip a multidisciplinary team of students with the tools to help them understand the challenges to achieving the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and empowering them to create innovative ideas and solutions.

Now on it’s fourth season, this Thinkathon will focus on creating solutions to one of the most pressing needs in the world today — Food Security. Together with the SMIT, SHRIM, SDA & SDG, Thinkathon 4 will wrestle with the problems of hunger, access, nutrition, obesity, waste, and resource management set in the urban jungle of Malate, Manila.

To enrich the knowledge of the students on this topic, Benilde HIFI will be inviting thought leaders so they may inform and inspire the students as they offer new and fresh ways to think about — and maybe even solve — these problems.

Let’s hack the future of food together. Join us and get a chance to have your food startup ideas incubated!
