About the Author

I can best describe myself as an empathic problem solver — someone who “gets in the middle” of difficult situations, grasps both the social and technical nuance, and brings about sustainable improvement. Though initially focused on systems administration and software development, my career has gradually shifted to more philosophical concepts — design, purpose, meaning, causality, complexity. By building client products, consulting, writing, speaking, and coaching others, I have found the opportunity to expand my understanding of the world and help others.
