Updates, Upgrades and a Large Load of Stickiness
A couple updates on what’s going on with our salary management product Pay by Verifi
New Features
We have been on the watch for more payroll problems, and we have added some new features and improvements to address a few things:
Health Access
We made a pretty big case for catering to employee happiness especially health benefits. And we are very happy to announce that we have partnered with RelianceHMO to make this wonderful decision simple and seamless.
Our Health Access integration features:
- A variety of health plans to select from
- The ability to split the plans subscription between the organization and employee
- A seamless deduction of employee’s contribution to health insurance from compensation
- Ability to customize plans and split ratios per employee; and
- Setting up, renewing and paying for plans.
Prorated Salaries
Having someone join the team in the middle or towards the end of a work cycle is a situation we sometimes cannot avoid. When it occurs, you have to decide if they should get assigned to tasks, what tasks can they be assigned to, and the most cumbersome of all is “how do I compensate their time ?”. Well, as a team dedicated to making employee compensation a breeze, we decided to have a go at this issue. For every payment cycle and individual employees, you can mark date ranges as unpaid and have the “worked” days value generated for your payroll.
Salary Groups
Medium to large organizations often hire at different levels — interns, youth corpers, drivers, managers and much more. While we at Verifi believe that salaries and benefits are individual conversations, we are very aware that these groups exist. So in the past couple of weeks, we have rolled out a feature that allows organizations create their own custom employee groups. What’s more is you can add staff to these groups then apply certain benefits to your groups i.e. set pensions, tax deductions and health insurance.
Design Updates
After having a product that works, if you are the Verifi team, the next course of action is to improve the look and feel of the sites and applications. We are undergoing a pretty big redesign sprint and we have got the ball rolling by releasing an update to our landing page.
Next steps will be the launch of our shiny new Pay 2.0 application featuring:
- A new, super intuitive dashboard;
- Mobile responsive pages
- Easier on-boarding
- Newer, more modern designs; and
- Deeper interactions with our users — admins and employees alike.
Exciting times!
Upcoming Features
Speaking of next steps, we have a couple more features up our sleeves. We will give you more details when they all done (we promise, we will), but here’s a short intro to get you excited:
- Savings — Yes savings! We are teaming up with the rockstars at ALAT to encourage a saving culture with employees of the organizations we are servicing. Think no more bailing on that resolution to save more, or at the very least you will have to go out of your way to break the resolution.
- Quick loans — Ever been in a bind or needed some quick cash? Well, that’s something that you are going to be able to access in a short while courtesy of Pay.
- Tax payments — We have provided easy tax deductions from employee compensations. Soon with the simple click of a button (and a few under the hood API calls of course), we will be able to settle these tax deductions to LIRS, and other appropriate tax collecting organizations.
There is much more to come, as we are always looking to improve and solve problems! So keep an eye out and more importantly if you are not signed up (or your organization is not) send us an email at info@verifi.ng or sign up and let us get to work!
