In celebration of Earth Day, we had the thought … What if Earth was a restaurant? Of course, it would be the most amazing dining experience, showcasing the finest ingredients sourced from every corner of the globe, but what would it look like? What would it be called? For this design exercise, we created a complete brand guide for an earth-inspired restaurant.

Let us paint a picture of what this restaurant might be like. The food would be globally inspired, with flavors and dishes from every continent. It would also practice sustainability and support local farmers and fishermen, minimizing waste as much as possible.

We wanted the name of our restaurant to represent “Earth”, so we decided on the Latin term Terra, meaning earth or land. Thinking of the dining atmosphere and being immersed in nature led us to the rest of the branding elements. Shades of green were the obvious color choice, but we decided on a playful, retro font for the main headers. This font brings a timeless, somehow old but modern look to the brand. We hope we’ve inspired you to keep creating and have a happy Earth Day!
