Pandemic-driven changes in real estate preferences fueling Avid Ratings’ growth

A partnership with the world’s largest online real estate site and forays into new markets have characterized 2020 for Avid Ratings, a customer experience technology company for the homebuilding industry.

The U.S. housing market is booming, as renters seek the separated living space and access to outdoor property that homeownership can provide amid the coronavirus pandemic. Similarly, as homes newly double and sometimes triple as defacto offices and schools, homeowners seeking to improve their space as the pandemic stretches into 2021 has bolstered the renovation industry.

These factors have led home builders and remodelers to Avid Ratings, to learn more about their buyers and establish credibility in a crowded marketplace. A recent partnership with Zillow has given those ratings an immense new visibility, with Avid Ratings powering ratings and reviews on new home construction for the online real estate giant publishing. The platform has validated the brand and showcased Avid’s database of today’s homebuyer, their preferences and decision considerations.

Avid’s scope of services has extended to include building product manufacturers, helping them better identify their own customers and build new ones, acquire valuable customer experience data, and promote ratings and reviews through various online channels.

The cumulative result of Avid Rating’s steep growth and market penetration in 2020 is an average of 20,000 surveys returned per month, with over seven million “star ratings” captured this year so far. Despite a global pandemic, the company is poised to capitalize on the trends in its industry and continue to provide its customers with the data and insights they’ve come to rely on.
