The 2018 Global Social Venture Competition (GSVC) has officially launched and is now accepting applications through December 4, 2017. The 2018 finals will be held across the Atlantic in Milan, Italy, April 11–13. Our partner, the ALTIS Graduate School Business & Society at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, will host the 19th annual Global Finals event where top teams across GSVC’s global partner network will have the opportunity to showcase their social impact business ideas and compete for $80,000 in cash awards. GSVC Welcomes Four New Partners

GSVC welcomes four new partners this year to its expanding global network: A Million for A Billion will manage a regional competition in India; Berytech, affiliated with St. Joseph University, will manage a regional competition in Lebanon; E4Impact Foundation will manage a round one competition in Africa; and Copenhagen Business School in Denmark will promote and recruit entrants in Scandinavia. GSVC is managed at Berkeley-Haas and empowers the next generation of social entrepreneurs by providing them with mentoring, exposure, and over $80,000 in prizes to transform their ideas into ventures that address the world’s most pressing challenges. Teams from across the globe learn how to design scalable models through a process that emphasizes stakeholder discovery, business innovation, and social impact assessment.
