Adaptive Clothing
As our bodies change, so do our clothing needs. We all know this from growing up. We went from onesies to separates, from booties to lace-up shoes, from elastic waists to zippers and buttons. The changes don’t stop — and nor do our clothing needs.
Adaptive clothing is designed for people with disabilities or who have difficulties with dressing. There are pants that can be put on while sitting in a wheel chair, shirts with shoulder fasteners to make it easier to put on overhead, or with open back making arm-raising unnecessary, even “locking clothing” for people who tend to disrobe when inappropriate.
