Facebook has recently added ‘Call to Action’ buttons alongside the like buttons on Facebook Pages. This is great. However, some people may be struggling with the App Link field, this is how to do it.

First thing I should say, is that in most cases, a link to your website is the easiest. Most small business don’t have their own app, so a link to your site is just as good.

If however, you are a band, and want to link to a music video n Youtube, this is what to do.

For both iOS and Android, the App Link should be this, replacing 123456 with the id of your video on Youtube.
vnd.youtube://www.youtube.com/watch?v=123456&feature=applinks

On the Android section, there is an extra field for the package name. For Youtube, this is:
com.google.android.youtube

And that’s it. Now when some clicks the call to action on your Facebook page, they will be redirected to your video on the Youtube app.
