Hi folks! It’s time for a check-in from your friendly neighborhood API team. We just have a couple of topics to cover, an invitation and an ending. Let no one say we don’t run the gamut around here.

Show us your work
We like you. If you’re reading this, we’re guessing you like us too. How about we take this mutual admiration public? Are you using our APIs for smooth integrations, cool apps, or pretty much anything creative? We’d love to hear about it, and to find a space for you in our App Gallery. Drop us a line at developer@bestbuy.com and let us know what you’ve been up to.

The last days of JSONP
We’ve seen an uptick recently in developers making API calls from the client side. Unfortunately, this exposes the API key to the general public, which creates a security risk. In the interest of keeping private information private, we are disabling JSONP, effective in early 2017. If you have any questions or ideas on this issue, please contact us at developer@bestbuy.com.
