Seeing is believing: b8ta testing new liquid-repelling products from Ably.

In the world of b8ta (a world where robots dance and pens digitize your doodles), we’re used to seeing products that excite us and solve everyday problems with solutions we never knew existed.

When Ably apparel arrived at our b8ta stores last week, we jumped at the opportunity to try it. Not only was this the first apparel product to arrive in b8ta stores, its Filium core technology that repels liquids makes it a god-send to those of us who identify as “the clumsy one”. Also, like most of you, we just won’t be convinced until we try it ourselves. Fortunately, that’s what b8ta stores and our b8ta testers are all about. So b8ta tester Carlos from our Palo Alto team volunteered as tribute.

Look at that smile on his face. It’s like he doesn’t even know a bucket of water is coming right at him.

He really has that arms-open, sacrificial pose down.

Whoops… did he forget that his pants weren’t Ably?

This is what Carlos said after the “storm”:

“I thought the shirt would’ve been soaked or a little wet at least, but the water just bounced off. The droplets that were left behind fell off with a little shake of the shirt. I could’ve honestly used some Ably boxers that day. My pants and socks were completely soaked!”
