When J. S. Bach published the Well-Tempered Clavier (Das Wohltemperirte Clavier) in 1722 and 1742, he wanted to use music to create inspiration for growth in students. The enormous body of work included in the two books inspired andcontinues to inspire generations of students, including well-known musicians such as W. A. Mozart and Haydn, to name just a few.
