Tolerance For Rejection

Hard work is important to success, but there’s something that’s even more important: a tolerance for rejection.

-I was rejected by every college I applied for except Purdue, but I loved my school.
-I was rejected by lots and lots of girls before finding my wife, and I’m glad it led me to my soul mate.
-My ideas were constantly rejected during my time in marketing, but I still kept proposing them because it helped boost my career.
-I’m rejected over and over every day while building a business, but I keep on building it because I believe it needs to exist.

I’m not the hardest working guy in the world, I just have a high tolerance for rejection. Although some rejections sting a little harder than others, overall I’m fairly immune to letting them get me down. My advice to you is don’t fear being rejected, be afraid of never getting the chance to be.
