No, the Web Summit doesn’t end at 5pm…

If you thought the networking at Web Summit stop when Paddy gives his daily closing speech, you’re very wrong! During the Web Summit, there is another great way of creating new relationships and rekindling old ones, on the incredible Pub Summit. The Pub Summit is essentially a Pub Crawl taking place on the 6th Nov at 8pm for all Web Summit attendees.

I’ll be honest, as a local, I’m really glad the Web Summit moved from the Irish lands to Portugal, because Lisbon has a lot to offer, especially during the night!

When joining beer together with a Lisbon night tour, you are sure something magical will happen. Plus… you never know who you’ll meet. Maybe your next business partner? Or even a lovebird? Who knows!

Drinking and bonding with others around Lisbon has been, for some, the highlight of the Web Summit. It is the time to relax and an opportunity to experience our famous Fado bars and a caipirinha at a local bar.

As you probably heard by now: “Lisbon is the next tech city”. A total of 759,000 google results can vouch for this. However, you might not have time to read them all until the Web Summit, coming up in less than a month. But I will explain to you why, as briefly as possible:

• Affordable renting and cheap costs of living
• Amazing weather
• Proximity to beaches
• Safety

All these will guarantee your fantastic stay here in Lisbon during the Web Summit! But wait, let me just add the most important point: cheap beer!
