Smart Open Lisboa: Meet the 12 Startups That Will Change The Future of Lisbon

The new edition of Smart Open Lisboa is back and about to show the most innovative solutions to upgrade Lisbon’s city life.

During a careful selection amongst great startups working on mobility, city engagement, tourism and sustainability, 12 startups were chosen to take part in the preparation & experimentation phase. For the next months, it will be time to plan and execute.

Let’s make Lisbon an increasing Smart City, with the help of these 12 startups:

SOSPlus

SOSPlus wants to make sure that traffic jams across the city don’t get in the way of saving lives. A device that informs when an emergency vehicle is coming, so that drivers can know in advance and move away in time.

AppyFans

A new way for local merchants to be promoted by the municipalities. AppyFans is the new local shop advisor, using gamification and loyalty.

WETEST Urbego & R!SKLY

Smart Open Lisboa already has a merge between two startups to work together along the program.

The tool for urban designers WETEST that focuses on designing solutions to promote walkability, will also walk hand to hand with the analytic platform for Risk Assessment regarding Public Safety and Security, R!skly, that will be visualizing the data collected.

Magnar

Ordering lunch to the office in the most time saving way while empowering local restaurants. Users can choose their meal in the morning in a single app, while restaurants reinforce their online presence with Magnar. Designed also for elderly people to be able to order lunch from home.

KLC

KLC provides companies and peoples a shared mobility service based on the kilometers for the schedule and routes they really need, using affordable electric vehicles as a way to maintain sustainability.

Trigger Systems

A platform to remotely and automatically control irrigation systems. Suitable for agriculture, Trigger Systems already has some clients in the area, as well as some municipalities, since the system helps to reduce water waste.

We Openly

Citizen engagement is at the very core of We Openly action. A public data platform for both citizens and governments to interact and engage efficiently on a daily basis. Citizens can follow on what their elected representatives are working on, allowing also governments to understand the biggest public’s concerns.

TICKEY

To improve the way we travel around the city, TICKEY allows you to buy transport tickets from your smart phone or any other smart device. Besides knowing when the transport will arrive you can also plan the best route to your destination.

1% Club Civic Engagement Platform — 1%club

Made for every type of citizen initiative, 1% Club empowers ideas and initiatives that can make a positive difference within the communities. A civic and corporate engagement platform for citizens, corporates and municipalities, where is possible to crowdfund and organize projects, mobilise networks and manage volunteers.

ÜRBIK

A different way for each city to better communicate with their visitors, URBIK connects both physical and digital components to ensure that tourists get all the information they need. All we need is a smartphone (no apps needed) which will connect with a physical information point and access a unique platform of contents about the area.

Green By Web

Saving water, costs and time though the power of Internet of Things, Green By Web is a set of smart solutions to manage and control urban green spaces. For instance, their product Aquamote is an irrigation controller, that can be manager remotely and enabled through GPRS.

Connect Robotics

Drone deliveries of any type of product. Connect Robotics provides the ultimate delivery service for logistic operators, medicine distributors, postal services or food distributors, overcoming traffic and increasing productivity and time saving.
