Every finals season at Bethel University students line up as far as the eye can see outside of the Monson Dining Center waiting for the lines to open at 10 p.m.

“I had to wait half an hour to get in,” freshman Alexis Fehr said.

“It seems like the line gets longer and longer every year,” Sodexo Communications and Marketing Coordinator Chris Christenson said.

“It was good to be around a bunch of people that weren’t doing homework, just relaxing, a good break and really good food” — Sarah Wallace, senior

Bethel’s Late Night DC is an opportunity for students to take a break from studying and relax with friends while enjoying delicious food provided by Sodexo’s food services. The week’s most popular event, Late Night Breakfast, consists of cinnamon rolls handed out by Bethel CFO Patrick Brooke and his wife Mary Kay. Also on the menu are omelets, french toast and more breakfast favorites.

“It was good to be around a bunch of people that weren’t doing homework, just relaxing, a good break and really good food,” senior Sarah Wallace said.

Although Late Night DC has been a tradition at Bethel for multiple years, each event brings new surprises. This year, Vice President of Student Life William Washington contributed to the high-energy atmosphere.

“Dr. Washington was very exuberant,” Resident Dining Manager Amanda Edin said. “The kitchen staff needed earplugs.”
