Starring Jonathan Taylor Thomas, James Earl Jones, Jeremy Irons, Directed by Roger Allers, Rob Minkoff.

Scar (Irons), Mufasas’s (Jones) brother and Simba’s (Thomas) uncle, plans to take over the throne that is rightfully Simba’s by killing Mufasa. After Simba watches his father die in a stampede of wildebeests, Simba runs away from home. As Simba lives a life away from responsibilities, Scar takes over the late Mufasa’s throne and turns the Pride Lands into a dictatorship. Simba comes back because his father came to him in a vision and told him that he must take his place in the circle of life.

This movie has many elements everyone can love. It struggles with adult themes, such as mortality and morality, and embraces the lighter side of things with its lively soundtrack. While it is classified as a kids movie, adults and kids alike love to sit down and watch this and remember what it is like to realize who you are.
