Miracle on Ice
DE-STRESSFLIX: A movie that will suck stress from your life.
Starring Kurt Russell, Eddie Cahill, Nathan West. Directed by Gavin O’Connor.

With the final seconds of the game ending, Al Michaels’ voice fills the room as the entire country begins to cling to the hope that they for so long needed. As the Soviets pushed for the final time, it became clear that this moment would stand alone. The question is asked by Michaels: “Do you believe in Miracles?” This moment forces you to answer. “Yes.” As the final horn sounds, a sea of red, white and blue erupts as the players flood the ice.
This scene stands apart from other sports movies because every time I watch it, I can find goosebumps sneaking into my arms. It helps me relax and forget about problems. Anytime school feels overwhelming, Miracle is a great way to let go of any worries and focus on one of the most historic moments in United States history.
