Kyler and Laura Paige have waited for eight years to have a baby. They have prayed, cried to God, wrestled with God, and it seemed as if their prayers went unanswered.

They were shocked after finding that the woman who’s been bleeding for 12 years was the one passage he was asked to preach. Both Kyler and Laura Paige have identified this passage as part of their journey. Kyler was hesitant to share their story during his sermon at church, but felt led by the Spirit that it was the right thing to do.

Little did they know who was in the audience: a foster family who had been caring for a little girl named Lacy who was now one week old.

The very first sermon they heard since Lacy’s birth was that sermon. It planted a seed in their hearts that Kyler and Laura Paige would be amazing parents. The foster parents kept it hidden for six months because they didn’t want them to get their hopes up.

After six months, they finally emailed the couple announcing the news. The very next day, Kyler and Laura Paige met Lacy and it felt exceptionally natural. Lacy Laughed for the first time with her. She also kept playing with LP’s necklace that actually said “daughter” on it.

Since then, they have been spending almost every day and night with her. She has completely transformed their lives. Through the support of the entire body of Christ, they are able to give Lacy all she needs.

The main lesson they have learned is that God is always at work behind the scenes. Remembering the faithfulness of God in your past will help you to press forward trusting his promises.

“Looking back helps you look forward,” Laura Paige said.

They have recognized that God is painting a beautiful picture with their lives that will and already is inspiring people. Even people who don’t believe in Jesus are agreeing that there is something supernatural going on here.

They hold what their praying for loosely knowing that our loving God gives, and our loving God takes away. Even if they don’t get the ending they’re hoping and praying for, they hold fast to their faith even in the wait.
