Starring Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Don Rickles. Directed by John Lasseter.

Huddled around a radio in their owner’s bedroom, the toys of Andy Davis wait to hear what he will get for his birthday.

“It’s a spaceship,” they hear and as Andy and his friends rush into his room.

Andy holds the spaceship high, like a trophy, and places it on his bed. The toys take a glance Andy’s new toy that reads Buzz Lightyear Star Commander. Woody, Andy’s favorite toy for now, does not think of much of Buzz, and soon will begin to loathe Buzz.

The scene of Andy getting Buzz Lightyear sets up the rest of the movie in which enemies become friends to defeat a mean neighbor kid. The roller coaster ride of Toy Story makes it a must watch for not only children but adults, also. And students avoiding finals preparation.
