Michael Luchies’ NCAA Playoff Predictions
Out of 130 FBS college football teams, only 4 have the chance to compete in the playoffs for a shot at the National Championship. This means that a single loss during a 12-game season can end a team’s hopes and dreams of a title. The 2019 college football season is shaping up to be one of the most competitive we’ve ever seen with a top-heavy group of undefeated teams who all have their eyes on earning a coveted spot in the playoffs.
Teams currently in the top 10 include Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma, Florida, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, and Penn State. With four teams in the same conference (SEC), many of these teams will have to play each other, narrowing down the pack. Here is my prediction for the four teams that will make up the NCAA football playoffs:
· Alabama
· Oklahoma
· Ohio State
· Clemson
In what would be an upset, Michael predicts that quarterback Jalen Hurts and a strong group of receivers will lead Oklahoma to beat Alabama in the National Championship Game.

Super Bowl 54 Predictions
While I would love to choose my Detroit Lions to win Super Bowl 54, and they may be good enough to make the playoffs this year, history tells us otherwise, and there is stiff competition for this year’s Lombardi Trophy, which goes to the winner of the Super Bowl.
In the AFC, we have a clear leader who looks to be completely unstoppable. With an offense and defense that are clicking on all cylinders, a perfect record, and one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time leading the team (Tom Brady), it’s hard to bet against the New England Patriots returning to the Super Bowl to represent the AFC.
In the NFC, things are much tougher to predict. We are just a third of the way through the season and a lot can change. The lone undefeated team in the NFC is the San Francisco 49ers, who few thought would be in this position. Although they are playing at a very high level, it’s hard to imagine them continuing this hot streak when they play tougher opponents. Every team in the NFC has glaring weaknesses that could spell their demise, but I am choosing the best quarterback on a team with a seemingly improved defense — the Green Bay Packers.
Super Bowl 54 Prediction: New England Patriots 38, Green Bay Packers 24
