A huge step closer to Mainnet
Hey everyone! We’re very excited to update you on what we have accomplished in the past months, and where we are headed next. We can’t wait for Betoken’s Mainnet release in April!

Milestone reached— Smart contracts are ready for audit!
During January and February, we have been hard at work on adding new features to Betoken’s smart contracts to open new opportunities to our managers and improve the overall experience. The new features include:
- Shorting tokens
- Leverage longing tokens
- Decentralized governance system
- Risk threshold mechanism for incentivizing manager participation
- Partial selling of investments
- Setting acceptable price range for investments
With the addition of these features, the need for new testing frameworks and more internal testing has arisen. Thus, we have focused our efforts in the past month on writing more and better tests, as well as fixing bugs that were found during the testing process.
Today, we are glad to announce that the testing has been completed, and our smart contract system is ready to receive a third party audit!
We are currently talking with a number of audit service providers, including ConsenSys Diligence, on sealing a deal for an audit of our smart contracts.
What’s next?
We will shift our focus on implementing the new features in our portal frontend and improving the user experience. We will be working on:
- Investor (limited partners) dashboard
- Investor and manager continuous onboarding
- Adding derivative trading
- Improving the process of making investments — We have already pushed some updates today. Try them out in our dApp.
We are very conscious of what great user experience can do for a platform like ours, and we will do our very best to make your time on Betoken more comfortable and enjoyable.
