Devils Futures

The Devils have been plagued again this season by the same thing that has been an issue for them the past few years. They struggle to score, and they struggle with consistency especially in net. Mackenzie Blackwood at times has looked like the guy who could be between the pipes in New Jersey for year, but others looks like he doesn’t belong in the NHL. Offensively, the Devils have some pieces but outside of Taylor Hall’s MVP season they’ve struggled to add or develop the true star you need to contend since Zach Parise left years ago. They’re second to last in the Metro, just ahead of the massively disappointing Islanders. Here’s New Jersey’s odds to win the Metro:

FanDuel: +15000 | DraftKings: +10000 | BetMGM: +12500 | PointsBet: +10000

Winning the conference and the Stanley Cup seem like longshots for the Devils this season, especially needing to make up so much ground in one of the best divisions in hockey. While the future is bright in New Jersey with some of their building blocks, they’re still a few years and a few pieces away from being able to make some noise in the East. That said, stranger things have happened and weirder teams have made runs. Here’s the Devils Eastern Conference odds.

FanDuel: +4600 | DraftKings: +8000 | BetMGM: +8000 | PointsBet: +10000

Here’s New Jersey’s odds to win the Stanley Cup:

FanDuel: +15000 | DraftKings: +20000 | BetMGM: +15000 | PointsBet: +20000
